DESCRIPTION:Marg Thibideau serves as the Academic Upgrading Officer at Georgian College’s John DiPoce South Georgian Bay Campus\, where she warmly welcomes inquiries about the Academic and Career Preparation Program. This program offers an array of FREE courses\, including Core Upgrading\, Career and College Preparation\, and Employment Readiness courses. Additionally\, comprehensive support is available for individuals preparing to write their General Education Development (GED) test. \nWith classes currently offered in both Collingwood and Wasaga Beach\, learners can opt for either in-class or remote delivery. Funded by the Ministry of Labour\, Immigration\, Training and Skills Development\, this program offers free upgrading to eligible learners aged 19 or older residing in Ontario\, with some applicants aged 16 to 18 also potentially eligible. \nClasses are Wednesdays 10am-12pm. Registration required.

Jayne will share her story as a cancer survivor and her knowledge gathered along the way which she is on a mission to share with others.
