SUMMARY:Seniors Community Grant: Acrylic Painting
DESCRIPTION:Discover the magic of acrylics in an inspiring workshop with local artist Jason Alexander\, known for his passion and teaching expertise.\n\n\nWBPL’s Artsy Adults Project funded by the Ontario Government’s Seniors Community Grant is offering an acrylic paint workshop where you can spend the afternoon unlocking your creative artistic potential. Learn about brush selection and colour blending techniques\, as well as new ways to enhance your creative expression. \nThis workshop is a wonderful opportunity for all skill levels\, beginners eager to explore acrylic painting for the first time; intermediate artists looking to refine their skills and techniques; or anyone with a passion for painting and a desire to explore new creative avenues. \nWBPL’s Artsy Adults Project is targeted to participants ages 55+ who have a WBPL library card. The workshops are free to attend and all materials will be provided. \nImportant Registration Details \nBecause WBPL expects high interest in Artsy Adults programs\, the library is implementing a lottery system to help ensure that as many older adults as possible are able to participate in the 10 creative programs planned for 2024/2025. \nTo participate\, please sign up on the waiting list for the programs that interest you by the specified cut-off date. Library staff will randomly select participants from the waiting list approximately 15 days prior to a program. These successful candidates will receive notification by email (or phone call if email is not available) and will be required to respond to confirm their seats.
