DESCRIPTION:Join us for a unique and exciting workshop where you will discover the timeless art form of wet felting using Icelandic sheep wool!\n\n\nWBPL’s Artsy Adults Project funded by the Ontario Government’s Seniors Community Grant is offering a one of a kind workshop where you can explore the vibrant world of wet felting. Immerse yourself in this unique art form and discover the magic of transforming wool into beautiful art! In this hands-on workshop\, you’ll learn the essential techniques to shape\, mold and create your own spectacular felted pieces. No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm! \nWBPL’s Artsy Adults Project is targeted to participants ages 55+ who have a WBPL library card. The workshops are free to attend and all materials will be provided. \nImportant Registration Details\nBecause WBPL expects high interest in Artsy Adults programs\, the library is implementing a lottery system to help ensure that as many older adults as possible are able to participate in the 10 creative programs planned for 2024/2025. \nTo participate\, please sign up on the waiting list for the programs that interest you by the specified cut-off date. Library staff will randomly select participants from the waiting list approximately 15 days prior to a program. These successful candidates will receive notification by email (or phone call if email is not available) and will be required to respond to confirm their seats.
