Volunteers will file tax returns for individuals and couples with a modest income and a simple tax situation; see below for eligibility guidelines. \nNOTICE:Ā Clicking the registration link below will open a form to add your name to the waiting list. A volunteer will contact you directly to schedule a date and time for your tax appointment.Ā  \nIn order to be eligible for the CVITP\, individuals must have a modest income of $35\,000.00 for an Individual\, $ 45\,000.00 for a couple\, and a simple tax situation. \nThis may include: \n\nadults 65 years and older\nhousing-insecure individuals\nIndigenous Peoples\nmodest-income individuals\nnewcomers\npersons with disabilities\nstudents\n\nIn general\, a tax situation is simple if an individual has no income or if their income comes from these sources: \n\nemployment\npension\nbenefits\, such as the Canada Pension Plan\, Old Age Security\, disability insurance\, employment insurance\, and social assistance\nRegistered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs)\nscholarships\, fellowships\, bursaries\, or grants\ninterest (under $1\,000)\n\nThe CVITP does not provide training or support for complex tax situations.
