SUMMARY:Pop Up Museum: Bridging Generations & Sharing Stories
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we come together for a day of community storytelling as we celebrate local history and memories of Wasaga Beach\n\n\nThe Wasaga Beach Public Library is proud to bring the community together for the showcase and wrap-up of its 2025/26 project\, Bridging Generations: Preserving Memories\, Building Connections\, funded by the Ontario Government’s Seniors Community Grant. \nThis free public event invites all ages to step back in time and experience a celebration of Wasaga Beach history through a curated gallery\, artifacts\, interactive exhibits\, displays\, and daylong memory sharing. \nOn Sunday\, March 15\, the Library will be transformed into a walk-through historical experience\, featuring a Pop-Up Museum Day\, open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. \nHighlights include:\n\nHands-on stations and activities for children (available all day)\nAll-ages storytelling stations with live historians and memory champions (11:00 AM – 12:30 PM)\n1:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Open Mic Sharing: Stories and Memories of Wasaga BeachA live community storytelling event. Sparked by a memory? Guests are welcome to share a story or two\, if they wish. Registration recommended.\nAnd more throughout the day\n\nRegistration is not required for self-directed Pop-Up Museum visits. \nA limited supply of the 50th Anniversary Edition of Wasaga Saga by Thelma Morrison will also be available at the Library’s Main Circulation Desk.

Share your story! \nHot tip: Plan your arrival around the full day of activities. We recommend arriving early to explore the Pop-Up Museum\, which transforms library spaces into a self-directed historical experience featuring something for everyone. \nPop-Up Museum highlights include:\n\nA curated gallery exhibit\nDisplays and artifacts\nInteractive exhibits\nHands-on stations for children\nStorytelling stations with live historians and memory champions (available 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM)\n\nA limited supply of the 50th Anniversary Edition of Wasaga Saga will also be available at the Library. \nRegistration is requested for the timed storytelling event in the Re/Max Room so we can provide seating for you and your party.Registration is not required to drop in for the Pop-Up Museum experience throughout the Library. \nAll ages welcome.
