DESCRIPTION:For the intermediate or advanced sewer\, create a cross-back apron in this two-part workshop (April 15 & 27)\n\n\n🎟️ Registration requires a WBPL membership card. \nLooking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift? Sew a handmade cross-back apron for mom — or for yourself. \nThis class is intended for intermediate to experienced sewers with sewing machine confidence and is not recommended for beginners. Participants must be available to attend both class dates: April 15 and April 27. \nPlease note that participants are required to bring their own supplies. The pattern will be provided\, and thread is available at the library\, though you may wish to bring thread to match your fabric. SUMMARY:Home Horizon Youth Outreach
DESCRIPTION:Our Your S.A.F.E. outreach program works with additional vulnerable youth to identify safe living spaces and provides direction to assist them in regaining control of their lives. Our S.A.F.E. outreach programs serve youth aged 16-29. Since the launch of this program in July 2020\,we have served 127 youth\, with over 1085 service interactions (referrals\, goalsetting\, supplies\, workshops\, etc.)\, many in the Wasaga Beach area. \nThrough our outreach services\, we supply important items such as tents\, sleeping bags\, food\, hygiene products\, grocery gift cards\, masks & sanitizers\, jackets\, hand warmers\, clothes\, and much more. \nThe program also provides support and advocacy for mental health\, physical health (new family doctor)\, legal matters\, financial aid\, rental/tenant advocacy as well as referrals to other housing agencies. \nThe program has been an incredible success to date. It helps one of our most vulnerable populations to avoid falling through the cracks\, providing every individual who come in contact with our outreach worker the chance to feel safe and heard. We work with all marginalized youth regardless of their race\, gender\, sexual orientation\, family situations and socio-economic background. \nOur programs are designed to assist youth struggling with social inequalities with tools that will help them to cope and grow stronger to manage and address any bias they face in life.

SUMMARY:Overeaters Anonymous
DESCRIPTION:Weekly meetings for those recovering from compulsive overeating. \nOvereaters Anonymous(OA) is a Fellowship of individuals who\, through shared experience\, strength\, and hope\, are recovering from compulsive overeating.  We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.  There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions\, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization\, political movement\, ideology or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues.  Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviours and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.\nOA gathers weekly on Wednesdays in the Group Study Room at the Wasaga Beach Public Library from 6:30-7:45 PM.
