SUMMARY:LEGO Water Works STEM Challenge
DESCRIPTION:From boats to fountains\, put your LEGO® engineering skills to the test with water based builds.\n\n\n📌 Ages: 6 to 12💳 Wasaga Beach Public Library card required for registration. \nGrab some LEGO® bricks and get ready to be creative with water! In this hands on STEM program\, children ages 6 to 12 years old will use LEGO® to design and build water friendly creations such as boats\, pools\, fountains\, and other imaginative structures. Once built\, participants will test their designs in water to see how they perform\, experimenting with floating\, stability\, water flow\, and design improvements. This interactive challenge encourages problem solving\, creativity\, and engineering thinking – perfect for young builders who love to test ideas and learn through play. \nExpect some water play – things may get splashy!

SUMMARY:Junk Drawer Genius Workshop: Water Power
DESCRIPTION:Lift your learning to new heights – design\, build\, and power a hydraulic lift to see how water-driven force moves the real world!\n\n\n📌 Ages: 10 to 18 years💳 Wasaga Beach Public Library card required for registration. \nParticipants will investigate how melting icebergs versus saltwater ice affects water levels by comparing two simple container experiments. Using frozen “icebergs” participants will also measure what percentage floats above the surface to understand how density determines buoyancy. Through prediction\, measurement\, and observation\, participants explore why most of an iceberg remains underwater and why only land based ice contributes to sea level rise. The combined activities build foundational understanding of matter\, melting\, and real world climate impacts. \nPull up your sleeves\, you may get wet!

SUMMARY:Overeaters Anonymous
DESCRIPTION:Weekly meetings for those recovering from compulsive overeating. \nOvereaters Anonymous(OA) is a Fellowship of individuals who\, through shared experience\, strength\, and hope\, are recovering from compulsive overeating.  We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.  There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions\, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization\, political movement\, ideology or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues.  Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviours and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.\nOA gathers weekly on Wednesdays in the Group Study Room at the Wasaga Beach Public Library from 6:30-7:45 PM.
