DESCRIPTION:Artist Joe Shocrylas will be on site to share insights into his artistic process and his work capturing classic hockey moments.\n\n\n📌 Ages: Adults💳 Wasaga Beach Public Library card required for registration. \nMeet Joe Shocrylas\, our featured gallery artist for January and February\, showcasing a collection of hockey-themed acrylic works on canvas. A self-taught artist and retired dentist\, Joe’s paintings invite viewers to step back in time\, capturing live-action moments and the nostalgia of the original six hockey heroes. \nDrawing from historical black-and-white photographs\, he reimagines each scene in vibrant colour\, adjusting player and equipment positioning to create a renewed sense of movement. His technique uses varied brush strokes to highlight the contrast and tension\, finesse and physicality that define the game of hockey.
