DESCRIPTION:Create your own Pita Pocket Masterpiece. \nHaving children involved in the kitchen is not only educational\, but it is a great way to help them build healthy eating habits. \nChildren develop many skills while helping out in the kitchen including: \nSensory: Having children in the kitchen exposes them to different textures\, smells\, tastes and colours. In the kitchen children utilize all five senses. \nMotor: Being actively involved with food will help large and fine motor skills\, as well food preparation helps develop hand eye coordination. \nSocial: Working with others gives children the opportunity to practice sharing\, turn taking and cooperation. \nLanguage: Children are exposed to new vocabulary such as names of kitchen tools\, ingredients\, cooking methods\, and you can encourage conversations about food likes\, dislikes and experiences children have with food. \nProgram Details: \nFor children 1-6 years of age. \nSpaces are limited! Registration for this event is required! Please register early to confirm your spot. \n
