SUMMARY:Adopt a Book Buddy
DESCRIPTION:Join Wasaga Beach Public Library for our Adopt a Book Buddy Storytime time!\n\n\n📅 Ages: 4-8📌 Wasaga Beach Public Library card required for registration. \nWith the help of student volunteers\, children will get to select one mystery Book Buddy to adopt.   A Book Buddy is a small stuffed animal that will come with an adoption certificate and some other information.  Children will learn about their Book Buddies interests\, and with the help of the student volunteers\, the child and volunteer will read their newly adopted Book Buddy.  \nChildren will have the opportunity to participate in some crafts and other activities with their Book Buddies. \nChildren will get to take their Book Buddy home\, to have a special friend for future reading time!

In this fun\, hands-on program\, kids will explore their creativity by making their very own wearable buttons. Using colourful papers\, markers\, stickers\, and a real button-making press\, participants will turn their artwork into unique take-home keepsakes. \nChildren can design buttons that show off their interests\, celebrate library themes\, support special events\, or simply brighten someone’s day. Staff will guide participants through safe use of the button press\, encouraging imaginative ideas and artistic confidence along the way. \nActivities Include: \n• Designing mini works of art \n• Choosing colours\, patterns\, and messages \n• Transforming artwork into wearable buttons \n• Showing off finished creations at our Button Parade Wall! \nKids will leave with 1 or 2 custom-made buttons
