DESCRIPTION:Discover what’s really beneath the surface—dive into hands-on experiments to uncover all there is to know about icebergs!\n\n\n📌 Ages: 10 to 18 years💳 Wasaga Beach Public Library card required for registration. \nParticipants will investigate how melting icebergs versus saltwater ice affects water levels by comparing two simple container experiments. Using frozen “icebergs” participants will also measure what percentage floats above the surface to understand how density determines buoyancy. Through prediction\, measurement\, and observation\, participants explore why most of an iceberg remains underwater and why only land based ice contributes to sea level rise. The combined activities build foundational understanding of matter\, melting\, and real world climate impacts.  \nPull up your sleeves\, you may get wet!

DESCRIPTION:WBPL welcomes Métis Nations of Ontario for an engaging Dot Art workshop for ages 5 to 12 years old.\n\n\n📌 Ages: Ages 5 to 12\n💳 Wasaga Beach Public Library card required for registration. \nDot Art is a contemporary art form inspired by Métis beadwork where beads are replaced by small dots of colourful paint. Dot Art was first used in the Métis context by artist Christi Belcourt. The Métis people are well known for their floral beadwork\, which is used to decorate clothing\, bags and other items.
