DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Mother’s Day with Elegance and Charm at the Wasaga Beach Friends of the Library Mother’s Day Tea. \nThe Friends of the Library will be holding their major fundraiser\, Mother’s Day Spring Tea on Sunday\, May 5th in the Remax Room at the Wasaga Beach Public Library. The event will take place from 1 pm until 3 pm with doors open at 12:30 pm. \nThis exciting event will include a full tea service including finger sandwiches\, freshly baked scones with homemade preserves\, a selection of sweet treats\, and of course tea! Music will be provided by talented local flutist\, Leslie Joosten and Guest Speaker will be Simcoe County Master Gardener\, Pat Cook. The afternoon will also include prizes\, games and a gift for all guests to take home. \nTickets for the Mother’s Day Spring Tea are $30 and are available at the Wasaga Beach Library\, Veronica’s Flowers and IDA. \nBy attending this event\, you’re not only treating yourself but also contributing to the Wasaga Beach Friends of the Library. Help us continue our mission of promoting literacy and community engagement.

DESCRIPTION:Jaime Armstrong\, Registered Psychotherapist\, presents a fun way for children and their families to understand the brain and mental health.\n\n\nThis free workshop will focus on understanding the brain\, teaching children and their families how to tune and retune their brains leaving them more present\, calm\, and clear. \nThis workshop will provide information and support to better understand the brain response of trauma\, anger\, anxiety\, sadness\, troubles with school\, attention\, sleep\, and more.  \nChildren will learn how to describe experiences they’ve been having while learning what to do to change their brains.  \nFamily members will gain new shifts and perspectives to better support their children as well as themselves as they navigate mental health\, stress-proof their brains\, and have brain changing conversations with each other.  \nThis interactive workshop is sure to be a brain changer! \nMore about Jaime Armstrong\, RP:Jaime Armstrong is a Registered Psychotherapist who provides therapy and counselling services to children\, youth\, and adults in Ontario.
