Join us with Linda Peacock of Simcoe County Master Gardeners.
We will learn how seed collecting can reward us with diversity in our gardens by adding heirloom and native plants through seed harvesting. The presentation will outline the basics of identifying, collecting, and preserving usable examples of all types of seeds. We will discover seed collecting and sorting techniques in a hands-on exercise while we build up the seed library at WBPL. Have the opportunity to take home some harvested seeds.
If participants have any plants that they love in their garden (ornamental or edible) that they would like to contribute to the seed library and share with other participants, they can bring spent plant stalks to work with.
