A Community Library On Wheels

In April 2021 we proudly unveiled our new Bookmobile. Starting with a decommissioned rescue truck from the fire department, donated by council, we wrapped it in colourful graphics and converted the inside into a full-service library on wheels.

The purpose of the bookmobile is to bring the library to the community. You will find it at community events and gatherings throughout town between April and October, and the annual Santa Claus Parade.

Plus, enjoy free Wi-Fi and a cozy lounge area to relax and dive into the world of books at our stops (where signal is available).

Storybook Trails

Wasaga Beach Public Library’s Storybook Trails are designed to get families excited about being active, exploring the outdoors, and reading together.

The library has two trails to provide residents and visitors with alternative walking and reading routes. The books featured on the Storybook Trails will be periodically changed so that people are encouraged to return for a new adventure.

Silver BirchThe Storybook Trail on the east side of town starts on Silver Birch Avenue (the section closest to Birchview Dunes Elementary School) by River Road West and continues through the scenic walking trail up to where Silver Birch meets Bush Crescent.

Carly Patterson: The entrance to this Storybook Trail is located on the same street as Worsley Elementary School where it joins with Cardinal Way. The trail then continues along the groomed Carly Patterson Trail in a westward direction culminating at Meadowlark Boulevard.
