If Wasaga Beach Public Library doesn’t have the item you’re looking for, our Interlibrary Loan (ILLO) service can help. Through ILLO, we can request materials from libraries across Ontario, allowing WBPL members to access a wider range of resources.
A province-wide network that connects patrons to other public library collections in Ontario. Patrons may request up to 4 items a month from other libraries if they are unavailable in our collection.
Regular and large print books and CD audiobooks with a prior publication date of nine months or longer.
This varies depending on the availability of the item. Many requests are filled in as little as 2 weeks but harder-to-find items may take up to 6 weeks or longer.
Patrons will be notified once the item has been received or if we are unable to locate the item.
The Interlibrary Loan (ILLO) service is currently unavailable due to two factors: a planned system upgrade and the impacts of the Canada Post strike. The system upgrade, designed to provide faster and more efficient access to materials from other libraries, was set to launch on November 18, 2024. However, the postal strike has delayed the availability of the service. We will resume ILLO as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
The availability of the Interlibrary Loan (ILLO) service depends on the resolution of the impacts of the Canada Post strike. While the new ILLO system was originally scheduled to launch on November 18, 2024, the postal strike has delayed the service. We will provide updates as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your understanding.
ILLO requests made prior to our pause are still in queue and will be processed ahead of any new requests.

Interlibrary Loans provide a way for library members to access items not in our collection from other libraries for FREE. Submit your request through our form and we will get in touch if we’re able to find your title for you.
