Who are the Friends of the Library?

The Friends of the Library (FOTL) is a non-profit volunteer group structured to provide support to the Library, fundraise to supplement library programs and services, and promote awareness of the role of the Library within the community.

Celebrate Mother’s Day with Elegance and Charm at the Wasaga Beach Friends of the Library Mother’s Day Tea.

This exciting event will include a full tea service including finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with homemade preserves, a selection of sweet treats, and of course tea! Tickets are $30 per person and are available at the Library.

There are many different ways to become a Friend of the Library, depending on your skill set, passion and time.

Programs and Events

The FOTL works with Library staff on selected programs and special events. 

Advocacy

Promoting the Library’s mission and vision to the community is an important function of the FOTL. 

Executive

Join the executive and help determine the priorities of the group. 

Fundraising

Since it’s inception in 2016 the Friends of the Library have been involved in numerous fundraising activities. All funds raised go to supplement Library programs and activities. Some examples of our fundraising efforts include:

Grants

The Friends of the Library also applies for grants to supplement the Library’s needs, including:
