Trout Tales: Discovering Fish in the Library
March 19 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us for an engaging and interactive program all about the Fish in the Library!
Ages: 6 to 12
📌 Wasaga Beach Public Library membership required
Children will learn about the life cycle of brook trout, observe the fish closely, talk about their basic needs – such as water, food, and shelter – and explore the behaviours and adaptations they develop at each stage of life.
Participants will also learn about fish habitats, what it takes to raise fish in a tank, and how healthy aquatic environments help fish thrive. Through discussion and hands-on activities, we’ll explore how hatcheries support conservation, the relationships within aquatic ecosystems, and how human actions can impact fish habitats. This program encourages curiosity, observation, and environmental responsibility.
