Open Mic: Sharing Stories & Memories of Wasaga Beach

The Wasaga Beach Public Library is proud to bring the community together to showcase and wrap up its 2025/26 project, Bridging Generations: Preserving Memories, Building Connections, funded by the Ontario Government’s Seniors Community Grant.
Bring the whole family to a live community storytelling event in the Re/Max Room, where you’ll hear the stories and memories that have shaped Wasaga Beach across generations.
Audience participation is encouraged — have a memory? Share your story!
Hot tip: Plan your arrival around the full day of activities. We recommend arriving early to explore the Pop-Up Museum, which transforms library spaces into a self-directed historical experience featuring something for everyone.
Pop-Up Museum highlights include:
- A curated gallery exhibit
- Displays and artifacts
- Interactive exhibits
- Hands-on stations for children
- Storytelling stations with live historians and memory champions (available 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM)
A limited supply of the 50th Anniversary Edition of Wasaga Saga will also be available at the Library.
Registration is requested for the timed storytelling event in the Re/Max Room so we can provide seating for you and your party.
Registration is not required to drop in for the Pop-Up Museum experience throughout the Library.
All ages welcome. Free to attend. Library membership not required.
