Confronting Ageism for Better Health and a Brighter Tomorrow

October 6 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
It's time to change the narrative around bias based on age. Recognize ageist attitudes and their impact.

Ageism—bias based on age—is one of the most accepted forms of prejudice. It shapes how we treat others, how we see ourselves, and how we age. The belief that youth equals value harms everyone.

Ageism isn’t just unfair — it’s costly. It contributes to billions in unnecessary health care spending each year and has been linked to increased burnout among health care providers. It also leads to poorer health outcomes, higher stress, and reduced quality of life.

This workshop will help you:

• Recognize ageist attitudes

• Understand their impact on health and care systems

• Learn tools to challenge ageism in yourself and others

Change the narrative. Create better health and a brighter tomorrow for us all!

The future is old!

Through both poetry and prose, she has advocated for the encouragement and resilience found in others. In recent years, Jenna has become a spokesperson against ageism, recognizing that a cultural shift needs to occur if we are to see “growing old” as an opportunity not a liability.
