Custom 3D-Printed Lithophane Lamp (Adult)

A lithophane is a thin, translucent plaque that reveals a detailed image when illuminated from behind. Traditionally made from porcelain, lithophanes can now be created using 3D printing—and you can make your own at the WBPL Digital Lab!

In this hands-on workshop, participants will:
✅ Select a personal photo and prepare it for 3D printing
✅ Learn how to optimize images for the best lithophane effect (high contrast, minimal tiny details)
✅ Print a custom 10×10 cm lithophane to take home

🔹 Photo Submission: To ensure the best results, registrants are encouraged to email their chosen image in advance to the library assistant (info to be provided to registrants).
