Home Horizon’s Youth Outreach Program:
Everyone deserves a safe place to call home, to feel heard, and to know they are not alone. The Home Horizon Youth Outreach Program supports vulnerable and marginalized youth aged 16–29 by helping them find safer living situations, access essential resources, and regain control of their lives. With a strong presence in the Wasaga Beach community, our program meets youth where they are, offering compassionate, practical, and judgment-free support.
Since launching in July 2020, we have supported over 127 youth through more than 1,085 service interactions, helping young people navigate challenges and take steps toward a safer, more stable future.

How do we help?
Our outreach worker connects youth with the resources and supports they need, including but not limited to:
• Essential supplies: Blankets, sleeping bags, food, clothing, jackets, hygiene products, hand warmers, masks, sanitizers, and grocery gift cards.
• Housing support: Assistance in identifying safe living spaces, referrals to housing agencies, and rental and tenant advocacy.
• Health and well-being: Mental health support, physical health resources, and assistance connecting with a family doctor.
• Advocacy and guidance: Support navigating legal matters, accessing financial assistance, setting personal goals, and connecting with community services.
• Skills and personal growth: Workshops, referrals, and practical tools to help youth build confidence, overcome barriers, and work toward a brighter future.

We believe every young person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity to thrive. We welcome and support youth of all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, family circumstances, or socioeconomic status.
By offering a safe, supportive connection and helping youth access the resources they need, Home Horizon’s Outreach Team works to ensure that vulnerable young people do not fall through the cracks.
Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive community where every young person has the opportunity to feel safe, be heard, and move forward with hope.
Because every young person deserves to feel safe, supported, and valued.
