Intro to Sketching

Join us with artist Ron West to be introduced to the medium of sketching, where often the beginnings of his paintings are born.

This is a one-class session to get your feet wet and explore the basics of sketching by starting with a natural landscape setting. Students will work from the same reference photo and receive group and 1:1 coaching in this hands-on class. Learn how Ron approaches sketching by breaking down scenery into basic shapes while creating depth with techniques such as shading. Bring nature to life on paper and start to develop your drawing and sketching skills.
