Kinder K9: A Dog Safety Workshop for Kids and Parents

July 19 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Kinder K9 at Wasaga Beach Public Library for a Dog Safety for Kids workshop.

📌 Wasaga Beach Public Library card required for registration.

Join us for a fun and interactive Dog Safety for Kids workshop, designed to educate children and families on how to safely and confidently interact with dogs. This engaging session will teach children how to understand canine body language, approach dogs respectfully, and prevent accidents—helping to build lifelong, positive relationships with our four-legged friends.

Participants will learn to:

  • Safely interact with dogs to avoid bites and fearful reactions
  • Recognize signs of stress and discomfort in dogs
  • Understand the basics of responsible pet ownership and positive reinforcement training

This workshop is led by Lisa Buchhanan of Kinder K9, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Registered Practical Nurse. Lisa is a volunteer with COPE Service Dogs and the Midland OSPCA, a graduate of the Canine Foundations Training Academy through Georgian College, and certified through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT).
