Sew Savvy Adults: Teddy Bear

🎟️ Registration requires a WBPL membership card.
In this two-week class for intermediate sewers, create a teddy bear step-by-step with guidance from our volunteer sewing coaches. Participants must attend both sessions on May 20 and May 27.
Please source and gather the required supplies:
Fabric
This project is perfect for upcycling—consider using meaningful materials like a loved one’s plaid shirt to create a “memory bear,” or choose coordinating fabrics:
• 40″ x 60″ (1 m x 1.5 m) total fabric OR 1–2 shirts
• You may use one fabric or mix two coordinating fabrics (see sample image)
• White fabric for the nose will be provided
Fibre Fill Stuffing
• 1–1.5 lb bag (tip: stuffing from a larger, inexpensive pillow can work well)
Ribbon
• 1 m for a neck bow
Interfacing (optional)
• Medium weight, approx. 1.8 m (depending on fabric weight)
Optional Items
• Thread (some available onsite)
• Button eyes (a selection will be provided)
