Sew Savvy: Beach Bag & Apron

July 3 @ 6:00 pm - 7:45 pm

Step-by-step sewing projects for adults. This month make a tote bag perfect for the beach and an apron for BBQ/baking or crafting.

🧵In this month-long session for adults with beginner machine basics, participants will meet weekly on each Wednesday in July to complete two projects: a tote bag adorned with pockets with an inner zipped pouch suitable for the beach; and an apron for BBQ/baking or crafting.

Supplies will be provided and a selection of fabric available, however, if you have some cotton blend materials you prefer to bring you may do so. Both projects could be “patchwork style” or “upcycled” from leftover fabric.

If you prefer to bring your own material you would need to bring approximately 56” in length for the bag and approximately 1 yard or 92” for the apron. Suitable fabrics would be poplin, twill, denim, hopsacking, or lightweight upholstery for the bag.

Participants MUST be able to commit to attending ALL 5 sessions upon registration.

Space is limited to 6 machine borrowers and 2 participants who are able to bring their own machine each week. ! 🪡
