Led by a genealogy student, the workshop will guide participants through:
- Unlocking Canadian Records: Learn how to navigate online databases like Library and Archives Canada to discover passenger arrival records; census data and other valuable historical documents.
- Delving into Local Archives: Explore the wealth of information housed at the Craigleith Heritage Depot, including local County records and resources.
- Researching Overseas Ancestors: Gain insights into strategies for uncovering family history beyond Canada’s borders, with a focus on readily available online resources for Scotland, Ireland, and England.
This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in uncovering their family’s unique story. You may wish to bring a pen and notebook to take notes.
