Our Town: Stories from Wasaga Beach is a community storytelling project that invites older adults to learn how to create podcasts while sharing the people, places, experiences and moments that have shaped their lives.
Whether you’ve lived in Wasaga Beach for decades or have recently made it your home, your story is part of our community.
Through free workshops, hands-on training and podcast recording opportunities, participants will learn new digital skills, meet new people, and help create a podcast that celebrates the voices of Wasaga Beach.
Throughout the project, participants can take part in free workshops, learn new podcasting skills, borrow recording equipment, and work alongside library staff to create podcast episodes celebrating the people and stories of Wasaga Beach.
Whether you want to tell your own story, interview others, or simply learn something new, there’s a place for you.
