Working Toward Age-Friendly Business Recognition

May 21 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Join us for the first session in a two-part series designed to help local businesses learn about age-friendly business recognition.

In this informative workshop for businesses and service organizations in Wasaga Beach and the surrounding area, participants will be invited to step into the shoes of some of their most loyal and dependable customers and consider the client experience through the lens of older adults.

Learn more about age-friendly communities and spaces, and why becoming more age-friendly makes good business sense.

Participants will:

  • explore local demographic trends
  • identify potential service barriers, solutions, and new ideas for supporting older adult customers and clients
  • learn about the County of Simcoe’s Age-Friendly Business Recognition Program, including timelines and marketing benefits
  • receive a copy of the Age-Friendly Full Business Guide, complete with tools and checklists to help evaluate business and service design through a senior-focused lens
  • leave feeling better equipped to complete an application for age-friendly recognition
  • learn about education and support available from local age-friendly business champion volunteers with the Wasaga Beach Age-Friendly Community Advisory Committee
  • connect with other business owners and service providers

This free session is offered in partnership with the County of Simcoe Seniors Services, the Town of Wasaga Beach Age-Friendly Community Advisory Committee, and Wasaga Beach Public Library. Registration is requested.
