About the poets:

Tara A. Lake

Tara A. Lake is an award-winning self-published author excited to launch her debut collection: Sundown Thoughts. Her poetry has been published in Late Night Projections literary newspaper. A full-fledged creative, Tara explores writing in multiple genres. When she isn’t typing at her keyboard, she’s hiking one of the many beautiful trails that Southern Ontario, Canada has to offer; playing board games by the water with her husband and two children; or training in agility with her sweet, smart, and sassy Australian Shepherd Leo.

Nicole Dalcourt

Nicole Dalcourt is an award-winning Canadian poet and author of What Remains, her debut poetry collection and a current finalist for the Whistler Independent Book Award. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Queen’s Quarterly, Writerly Magazine, Sky Island Journal, and Anti-Heroine Chic. She is a member of the League of Canadian Poets and Ontario Poetry Society. When she’s not writing, Nicole teaches poetry to elementary school students and hosts open mic events throughout the region. Her favourite colour is green.

Crys Wiltshire

Crys Wiltshire is a Canadian poet and author based in Penetanguishene, Ontario. Her work explores past trauma, survival, healing, nature, and social causes. She writes both personal and nature-based poetry, often using the natural world as a place for reflection and healing. She was a finalist in the Canada Is Our Poem contest and featured in the 2025 Canada Is Our Poem anthology. Her work will also be featured in the forthcoming anthology, The Museum of Human Hearts. Her short fiction has appeared in Blank Spaces, an Ontario-based literary magazine. She also writes personal essays about poetry, literature, and women’s creative lives on Substack. Available now is her collection: A Monster Story. She lives on the shores of Georgian Bay with her husband and two children.

Together, Tara, Nicole and Crys will present an inspiring hour of readings and conversation — a rare opportunity to experience the richness of our region’s literary voices.

Books will be available for purchase after the event.
