Wasaga Beach Public Library is pleased to invite artists to apply for our second annual Summer Art Showcase, taking place in July and August 2026. This year’s theme is Life Up Close.

About the Exhibit

Wasaga Beach Public Library’s Summer Art Showcase returns for 2026 with the theme Life Up Close.

This year’s exhibit invites artists to explore the beauty found in the details — the textures, emotions, memories, and small moments that are often overlooked. We welcome thoughtful, creative interpretations of the theme in a wide range of styles and mediums.

Artists of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Showcase Details

Exhibit Dates: July and August 2026

Submission Deadline: April 30, 2026

Exhibition Fee: $25 per selected piece

Artwork drop-off will take place from May 19 to June 14 during open hours. Artists who need to arrange drop-off outside of these dates are welcome to contact the gallery email to discuss alternate options.

Promotional photos will be available for artists who wish to participate during designated drop-in sessions on Wednesdays, May 20 and 27, from 4 to 6 PM, and Fridays, May 22 and 29, from 2 to 4 PM.

Artists who would like their work promoted but are unable to attend a photo session must provide a high-quality photo of themselves. Please note that promotion cannot be guaranteed for artists who do not attend a photo session or submit suitable photos.

The $25 entry fee is due at the time of artwork drop-off.

    Submission Agreement

    I acknowledge that artwork must have appropriate hanging wire installed prior to installation at WBPL.

    If selected, I agree to provide artwork for the full duration of the Summer Art Showcase in July and August 2026.

    If selected, a non-refundable fee of $25 per piece is required to secure participation.

    I understand that submitted materials may be adjusted for promotional use.

    I understand that selected artists may be invited to participate in a video interview, and that WBPL does not process artwork sales.

    I understand that submission does not guarantee selection for the Summer Art Showcase.
