About the Cybergnomes
The Cybergnomes are a local high school robotics team that’s part of FIRST Robotics, a global network of more than 780,000 students worldwide. We’re fortunate to have a team right here in Simcoe County!
Students in Grades 7–12 from Collingwood, Stayner, Barrie, Wasaga Beach, and beyond can join the Cybergnomes to gain hands-on experience in areas like electrical wiring, coding, welding, critical thinking, and other STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) skills. Each season, the team designs and builds large-scale robots to compete in exciting challenges—sometimes even advancing to the FIRST Robotics World Championship!
