Digital Canvas: Discovering Art & Drawing with Procreate on iPad

Unleash your inner artist with “Digital Canvas: Discovering Art & Drawing with Procreate” at the WBPL Makerspace with Digital Art Instructor Tom Strnad. All equipment and software provided. The program will be located in the Digital Lab at the Wasaga Beach Public Library.

This workshop invites budding artists and illustrators to explore the vibrant world of digital creativity using Procreate, the revolutionary drawing app for iPad. Ideal for beginners and those looking to transition from traditional to digital mediums, this program will guide you through the essentials of Procreate.

Learn how to set up your digital canvas, select and customize brushes, and employ powerful layering techniques to create depth and detail in your artwork. Throughout the session, participants will engage with interactive demonstrations and practice exercises designed to familiarize them with the app’s intuitive interface and wide array of artistic tools.

Discover how to blend colors, sketch fluidly, and add finishing touches that will bring your digital paintings to life. You’ll also gain tips on how to use Procreate’s unique features, like the symmetry tool and animation assist, to expand your creative repertoire.

This program is open to participants of all ages, the recommended minimum age is 16 years of age.
