Intro to 3D Printing

Embark on a three-dimensional journey with “Intro to 3D Printing” at the WBPL Makerspace! This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect first step into the futuristic world of 3D fabrication.

Participants will learn the basics of 3D printing technology: from sourcing 3D print files on the web, learning about CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to the actual printing mechanics.

Discover the vast potential of 3D printing for personal projects, educational purposes, or entrepreneurial endeavors. We’ll cover everything from choosing the right materials to understanding the slicing software that prepares your masterpiece for printing.

By the end of the session, you’ll witness a digital creation come to life as a physical object. The program will be located in the Digital Lab at the Wasaga Beach Public Library.

This program is open to participants 18 years of age and older. A parent or guardian aged 18 or older may accompany children aged 8 and above as one participant spot.
