The Wasaga Beach Public Library Makerspace is thrilled to present the “Decoupage Bookpage Pencils Workshop,” an inspiring craft session that combines the charm of literature with the joy of making. In this workshop, participants will have the chance to dive into the delightful world of decoupage, the art of decorating objects with paper cutouts. You will learn how to select text from classic book pages and apply them to pencils, creating a literary masterpiece you can hold in your hand.
Our instructor will guide you through each step, from selecting the perfect passage to applying the adhesive, ensuring a smooth finish that celebrates the beauty of the written word. Each participant will leave with a set of handcrafted pencils, each adorned with text from literary classics.
This workshop is ideal for crafters of all skill levels. It’s a great way to repurpose old books and give them a new life beyond the shelf. The “Decoupage Bookpage Pencils Workshop” is a testament to the library’s commitment to fostering creativity and a love for literature in the community. Don’t miss this chance to craft a unique keepsake or gift while enjoying the company of fellow literature and craft enthusiasts in the heart of Wasaga Beach.
All supplies provided, feel free to bring an old book page you would like to use.
