Woven Word Symposium: Open Mic Poetry

November 28, 2024 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Come one, come all for the love of shared poetry!

Location: Re/Max Multipurpose – South Side – Wasaga Beach Public Library

Whether you’re a poet or simply love hearing poetry, join us for an afternoon of wordsmithing with local poets from the Georgian Bay area.

The event will kick off with the library’s own Drew Murdoch, whose passion for theatre shines in his slam poetry performances. Prepare to be entertained by his dynamic and theatrical spoken word artistry.

Following Drew’s performance, a lineup of both published and unpublished poets will take the stage to share their original compositions. Spaces for readers are limited, so if you’d like to present your poetry, please email adultprograms.wbpl@wasagabeach.com to express your interest. Each reader will have 5–8 minutes to ensure as many poets as possible have the opportunity to share.

Members of local writing groups are encouraged to participate, and all are welcome to attend and support our local writers and their literary talents.
