The Wasaga Beach Public Library is pleased to welcome a new collaborative art exhibition, The Light of Night and Day: Three Perspectives, featuring acrylic works by artists Ron Skelly, Carey Coram, and Lisa of Creative Madness Art Studios.
Exploring light, atmosphere, colour, movement, and the natural world, the exhibition brings together three distinct artistic perspectives. Each artist approaches the theme through their own experiences and creative practice, resulting in a collection that invites visitors to slow down, look closely, and experience familiar landscapes and moments in a new way.
Ron Skelly has called Wasaga Beach home for two decades, drawing inspiration from the area’s shoreline and natural beauty. His creativity extends beyond painting into music, where he teaches introductory guitar and songwriting. For Ron, art and music are interconnected ways of sharing creativity and inspiration with his community.
Carey Coram explores the quiet beauty of the world around her through vibrant acrylic paintings inspired by light, atmosphere, water, travel, and the space between realism and imagination. Her work reflects a love of colour, movement, and simplified natural forms.
Lisa, the creative force behind Creative Madness Art Studios in Elmvale, brings her background in intuitive art therapy to her work. Her pieces explore the changing interplay of light across day and night and seek to capture the calm and tranquility of the creative “flow state.”
The Light of Night and Day: Three Perspectives is now on display at the Wasaga Beach Public Library through October 31.
Stop by during your next library visit to explore the exhibition and discover how three artists interpret light, landscape, and creativity through three unique perspectives.
