The holiday season is approaching, and the Wasaga Beach Public Library is gearing up for our annual Holly Jolly Christmasfest. One of the most meaningful elements of this event is the opportunity it offers children to “shop” for a special gift for the adults in their lives — and we are seeking donations to help make that experience memorable.

We are currently collecting small, new, or gently used items that can be given as gifts to parents, grandparents, caregivers, neighbours, and other adults. This is a wonderful chance to declutter, re-home quality items, and contribute to a thoughtful community initiative.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome items that would make suitable, thoughtful gifts for adults. Consider the types of items you would feel good about receiving or giving. Examples include:

• Home décor or seasonal items
• Beauty, self-care, or spa products
• Small gadgets, tools, or hobby-related items
• Accessories, jewellery, candles, or stationery
• Kitchen items in excellent condition

At this time, we are especially in need of items that would be appropriate for fathers, uncles, and other hard-to-shop-for adults.

Donation Guidelines

To ensure a positive gifting experience for families participating in the event, please note the following criteria:

Items must be suitable for adults only

Items must be new or in excellent gently used condition

• No clothing
• No children’s toys or stuffed animals
• No food items
• No books
• Items must be 15 inches or smaller
• Wrapping supplies such as gift bags, tissue paper, and wrapping paper are also welcomed

Donations can be dropped off at:

Wasaga Beach Public Library
544 River Road West, Wasaga Beach

Donation period: Saturday, October 18 to Saturday, November 22
Donations are accepted during regular library hours.
