Pop-Up Museum: Bridging Generations & Sharing Stories (March 15)

Sunday, March 15 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Wasaga Beach Public Library | Free, all ages welcome

Step back in time and celebrate the memories that have shaped Wasaga Beach.

The Wasaga Beach Public Library is proud to invite the community to a special, free public event: Pop-Up Museum: Bridging Generations & Sharing Stories — a full-day celebration of local history, community storytelling, and the people and moments that make Wasaga Beach feel like home.

This event marks the showcase and wrap-up of the Library’s 2025/26 project, Bridging Generations: Preserving Memories, Building Connections, funded by the Ontario Government’s Seniors Community Grant.

A Pop-Up Museum… inside the Library

On Sunday, March 15, the Library will be transformed into a walk-through historical experience. Visitors of all ages are invited to explore a curated mix of local artifacts, displays, interactive exhibits, and memory sharing opportunities throughout the day.

Whether you’re stopping in for a quick walk-through or planning to spend the afternoon, there will be something for everyone.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day will be our Open Mic: Sharing Stories & Memories of Wasaga Beach — an intergenerational storytelling event where community members are invited to share a memory or story, if they wish.

Come share it — or simply come listen.

Audience participation is welcome, but never required. Registration is recommended for this portion of the day.

Bonus Highlight: Wasaga Saga (50th Anniversary Edition)

A limited supply of the 50th Anniversary Edition of Wasaga Saga by Thelma Morrison will be available at the Library’s Main Circulation Desk while quantities last.
