The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest bilingual summer reading adventure for kids! No matter their age, interests, or reading level, all children are welcome to join this free, exciting program offered by over 2,000 public libraries across Canada—including ours. Celebrate Canadian authors, illustrators, and wonderful stories as kids explore books in their own unique way. It’s all about discovering the joy of reading and fostering a lifelong passion for books!
Register Online or In-Person
Register online or drop by the library starting June 1st to join the fun! Once you’re signed up, you’ll receive your Reading Passport and some awesome swag. You’ll need a Wasaga Beach Public Library card to participate.
HOW TO COMPLETE THE WBPL
TD SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
Spend your summer working on fun reading activities found in your TD Summer Reading Passport.
- Once you’ve finished all the activities, bring your completed passport to the library between Saturday, August 16 and Wednesday, August 20, from 10 am to library closing hours.
- We’ll stamp your passport as “completed,” and you’ll receive an official Certificate of Completion. Plus, you’ll be entered into our exciting grand prize draw!
- Remember: Passports will not be accepted after August 20th.
TD Summer Reading Club Wrap-Up Party
We’ve moved our Summer Wrap-Up Party to Friday, August 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Join us as we celebrate the end of an amazing summer of reading with activities, games, and fun for the whole family. We’ll also be announcing the winners of our grand prize draws — you won’t want to miss it!
Wasaga Beach Students – Help Your School Win
Join forces with fellow readers from your school and compete to see which school can have the most students complete the TD Summer Reading Challenge! The school with the highest number of students who finish the challenge will win $1,500 worth of books for their library. Let’s get reading and win together!
1st Place: $1,500 in Books
2nd Place: $1,000 in books
3rd Place: $750 IN BOOKS
4th Place: $500 IN BOOKS

Welcome to the 2025
TD Summer Reading Club!
TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests, and all abilities. This free program is co-created and delivered by more than 2,000 public libraries across Canada. It celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators, and stories. It’s designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way – the key to building a lifelong love of reading.
Register Online or In-Person
Register online or in-person at the library. Once you’re registered, you can pick up your tracking booklet and first badge and start reading. To complete the challenge, you’ll need to read 1,500 minutes before August 31.
Track Your Reading Minutes & earn BAdges
For every 20 minutes of reading this summer, color a space on your tracker as you build your way towards the next reward.
Once you reach a reward indicator space, email wbplsummerreading@gmail.com to arrange to collect your reward. There are 10 rewards to collect.
Individual Top Reader Prizes
Individual prizes are also available for those who complete the challenge. Your name will be entered into the grand prize draw where winners can choose from a selection of space-themed prizes including tablets, telescopes, digital microscopes, play sets, and more!
